What is BOTOX Cosmetic?

Using BOTOX® Cosmetic diminishes the appearance of lines and wrinkles of the face. It is FDA-approved for the wrinkles above the brows. It is also broadly used in other areas, such as the forehead, bunny lines, crow’s feet, “smoker’s” lines around the mouth, unsightly neckbands, and even extreme underarm sweating. *

Our solution is to use a highly purified protein and place it correctly in the area of treatment, keeping the facial expression intact. Anesthesia is also not required for this treatment.

*The results are not guaranteed, and your effects may differ.

What is botox?

Botox can be a muscle relaxant agent used to diminish and eliminate facial wrinkles and lines. The injection of Botox is equally an art and a science, in which only a seasoned aesthetician can get the best results. We are located in the center of Colorado Springs and combine years of expertise to provide superior Botox treatments.

Face wrinkles and lines are caused by repeated facial expressions, like grimacing, smiling, and squinting. These repetitive motions cause our facial muscles to flex and contract frequently. As we age, the suppleness inside our skin decreases. These natural expressions, coupled with the loss of elasticity during the aging process, contribute to lines and wrinkles showing up on our faces while at rest. For both women and men, the usual areas where lines and wrinkles first appear are the “worry collections” over the temple, frown lines between the eyebrows, and crow’s feet at the sides of the eyes.

Botox can be used to temporarily relax the facial muscles responsible for these repeated contractions. Botox decreases the muscle groups’ activity, inhibiting skin from wrinkling and creasing, resulting in a more young, relaxed, and vibrant appearance (individual results may vary).

Aside from being very effective at reversing aging signs, Botox can also be used as a preventative measure. From the mid-twenties forward, Botox can be introduced into your beauty regimen to proactively stop wrinkles and lines from growing more visible and more profound, or in some cases, from ever appearing at all (individual results may change).

What are the benefits of botox?

what preparation is needed for botox?

To reduce the chance of injury after any Botox treatment; 10-12 days before getting injectable treatments, we advise avoiding aspirin, St. John’s Wort, high doses of Vitamin E, Omega 3, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, such as Motrin, Aleve, Advil, and Ibuprofen, etc.

If you use aspirin for medical purposes, please continue using it. If you have recently experienced facial cold sores, please inform your aesthetician before getting injections, and follow the suggested treatment program.

How is Botox applied?

The procedure starts with collectively preparing your personalized treatment program, evaluating post-care, and discussing all your questions and concerns. The injection procedure takes around fifteen to thirty minutes and entails several little injections, working with a sterile needle, to the muscle’s ideal treatment areas. Discomfort is generally minimal and brief.

What can I expect after treatment?

There is barely any recovery or downtime needed. Avoid exercising after Botox for a minimum of 4 hours or any intense activity that might raise a sweat. Furthermore, for 4 hours after treatment, stay away from lying flat or engaging in activities in which your head is below your heart.

Don’t massage or rub the treated areas so the Botox can remain undisturbed in place. Botox injections, as with other injections, can result in a bit of bruising and swelling. We have some specific methods that we use to reduce the bruising and swelling connected with Botox injections. Nevertheless, if bruising and swelling happen, it will subside and fade in a short time. Some mild tingling and redness is expected after the process and should dissipate after a couple of hours.

You can put makeup on fifteen minutes after treatment. In case you have any gentle aching at the injection area after the process, it could easily be managed with Tylenol.

Proactive maintenance

Muscles have something called “muscle memory,” and tight is the normal state of most folks’ facial muscles. Through several Botox treatments, skin muscles may eventually forget their previous state of tension. Instead, a far more relaxed and smooth face will become the patient’s new normal. Regular and proactive maintenance is therefore crucial to achieving optimum results.
